I've just cloned the repo but it doesn't work properly and it seems that vendor folder in public is missing. would you push that to your repo as well?

I'm trying the head_navbar.tmpl provided on GitHub but it's giving me an error. It says svg is not a function. I have placed gitea-sm.png and favicon.ico in custom/public/img, but they are not overriding the Gitea logo.
Please help

Hey Brian, make sure that you download the template file matching your current Gitea version. If you are using Gitea version 1.10.3, then use the header_navbar.tmpl from the 1.10.3 tag tree; https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/tree/v1.10.3. That svg function does not exist in your version.

That worked. Thanks. Now the images are not showing. Still can't override the favicon. It's peeving me

Oh right, that favicon.ico file is a fallback. Make sure you also place favicon.png in custom/public/img and restart gitea. But most likely, your browser is caching the old image, so either clear the cache or do a hard page refresh/reload to bypass the cache.

Hey, your gitea instance version is 1.12.5. My gitea instance is on version 1.11.8 right now and that template repository is only compatible with version 1.11.8.

Remember that you'll need to adapt your custom templates to your version (in your case 1.12.5) as they change significantly between each version/revision.
